School organisation
All children are taught in mixed ability classes. Each class has its own teacher who is responsible for the child’s general progress.
Our reception children (4+) are part of the Foundation Stage. This includes pre-school nursery and children in their first year in school. We encourage parents to become actively involved in their children’s progress during their first year in school. We try to make the move from home to nursery to school as easy as possible.
Key Stage 1 – children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Key Stage 2 – children in Year 3, year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.
After Year 6 children move to secondary schooling. The Local Education Authority (L.E.A.) will send advice on transferring schools to all parents of children in Year 6.
